What we collect, why we collect it, who else sees it, and how to get it back or have it deleted. No dark patterns, no buried opt-outs.

1Who we are

This website is operated by Peter Clark, ABN 65 664 717 383, trading as Poida Bogan and WebPages.com.au.

We respect your privacy and we handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we do with your information in practice.

If you'd rather not give us personal information, you're welcome to read the free material on this site without an account. We can't sell you anything or give you course access without it.

2What we collect

We only collect what we actually need. Depending on what you do on the site, that includes:

KindWhat exactlyWhen
Account Your email address and a securely hashed version of your password When you register or buy something
Purchase What you bought, the amount, the currency, the status, and a payment reference At checkout
Access Which products you have access to, and which access codes you've redeemed After purchase
Progress Which lessons or units you've completed As you work through a course
Profile (optional) Social handles you choose to add (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, Telegram, WhatsApp), plus hobbies, location, where you've travelled and your 6-month, 12-month, 5-year and 10-year plans Only if you fill in the member profile — every field is optional
Delivery Your postal address and name Only when you order a physical item
Event registration Name, phone number, team and player names, chosen day, and your IP address If you register for Bogan Beach Bash
Technical IP address and sign-in attempts, used to block brute-force attacks On login pages
Correspondence Emails you send us and our replies When you contact us
We never see your card details

Card numbers are entered on Stripe's own checkout page, not ours. We receive a payment reference and the amount — never your full card number, expiry or security code.

We don't ask for sensitive information such as health, race, religion or political views, and we'd rather you didn't put any into the optional profile fields.

3How we collect it

  • Directly from you — when you register, buy, fill in a profile, register for an event or email us.
  • Automatically — session cookies that keep you logged in, and basic server logs.
  • From Stripe — confirmation that a payment succeeded, plus the delivery address you gave at checkout for physical orders.

4Why we use it

We use your information to:

  • create and run your account and keep you signed in;
  • take payment and deliver what you bought — download links, access codes, posted goods;
  • track your progress through a course so you can pick up where you left off;
  • send you the emails that go with a purchase — receipts, download links, access codes;
  • answer your questions and provide support;
  • run events you register for;
  • protect the site against fraud, abuse and unauthorised access;
  • meet our legal and tax obligations; and
  • send you our newsletter or offers, only if you've asked for them.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't rent or trade your email address to anyone.

5Cookies and tracking

We use two kinds of cookie:

  • Essential cookies — a session cookie that keeps you logged in and keeps your checkout working. The site can't function without these.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies — set by the Facebook Pixel, described in the next section.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies you won't be able to log in or buy anything.

6The Facebook Pixel

This site runs the Meta (Facebook) Pixel. It tells Meta when someone visits a page here, which lets us measure whether our advertising works and show ads to people who've visited the site.

This means Meta receives information about your visit, including your IP address and which page you looked at, and may match it to a Facebook or Instagram account. That data is handled under Meta's own privacy policy, not ours.

You can limit this by:

  • adjusting your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram account settings;
  • using your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker; or
  • blocking third-party cookies in your browser.
Worth knowing

The Pixel loads on every page of this site, including this one. It is not required for anything you buy — it exists purely for advertising measurement.

7Who we share it with

We share personal information only where we need to, and only with:

WhoWhat they getWhy
Stripe Your email, payment details you enter with them, delivery address for physical orders To process payments and subscriptions
Our web host Everything stored on the site, as the operator of the servers To host the website and database
Email delivery Your email address and the message content To send receipts, download links and access codes
Meta Page-visit data via the Pixel Advertising measurement
Professional advisers and authorities Only what's required Accounting, legal advice, or where the law requires disclosure

If our business is ever sold or transferred, customer information may transfer with it. We'd tell you before that happened.

8Overseas disclosure

Some of the services above are based outside Australia — Stripe and Meta both operate from the United States and other countries. Using this site means your information may be stored or processed overseas, under the laws of those countries.

We choose established providers with their own published privacy commitments, but we can't control overseas legal regimes.

9Payment information

All payments go through Stripe's own hosted checkout. Your card number never touches our servers and we never store it.

What we keep is a record that a payment happened: the product, the amount, the currency, the status and Stripe's reference for it. We need that to deliver your purchase, handle refunds and meet our tax obligations.

10How we protect it

  • The site is served over HTTPS, so traffic between you and us is encrypted.
  • Passwords are stored as one-way hashes. We can't read your password, and neither can anyone who gets hold of the database.
  • Paid downloads are served through signed, expiring links rather than public URLs, and the files sit outside the publicly reachable part of the server.
  • Sign-in attempts are rate-limited to block brute-force guessing.
  • Administrative access is restricted and separate from customer accounts.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affected your information in a way likely to cause you serious harm, we'd notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as required.

11How long we keep it

  • Account and access records — while your account is open, so you keep access to what you bought.
  • Payment and tax records — at least 5 years, because Australian tax law requires it. These survive account deletion.
  • Profile details — until you change or delete them.
  • Event registrations — while the event is running and for a reasonable period after.
  • Login attempt logs — pruned automatically after 30 days.

When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it.

12Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us to:

  • Show you what personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct it if it's wrong or out of date;
  • Delete it, subject to records we're legally required to keep; or
  • Send you a copy of what you've given us.

Email info@webpages.com.au from the address on your account. We'll respond within 30 days, and we don't charge for a reasonable request.

We may need to confirm it's really you before handing over account information — that protects you, not us.

What deletion actually means

Deleting your account removes your profile, progress and login. It ends your access to any course or membership you've bought, and that can't be undone. Payment records are kept for the tax retention period described above.

13Marketing and unsubscribing

We only send marketing email to people who've asked for it or bought from us. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and we act on it.

Unsubscribing stops the marketing. It doesn't stop the emails you need — receipts, download links, access codes and anything about an order — because those are part of what you bought.

You can also just email us and ask to be taken off the list.

14Children

This site is intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, email us and we'll delete it.

15Complaints

If you think we've mishandled your personal information, email info@webpages.com.au with the details. We'll acknowledge it and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you're not satisfied with how we handle your complaint, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioneroaic.gov.au.

16Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The current version is always here, with the date it was last updated at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on the site.
