Privacy Policy
G'day. This is the plain-English version of how the School of Bogans ("we", "us", or "Poida") handles your information. No forty-page legal maze — just what we collect, why, and what we'll never do with it.
What we collect
- Your email address — used to create your account, sign you in, and send you login links or password resets. That's it.
- Your course progress — which units you've completed, so you can pick up where you left off on any device.
That's the whole list. We don't collect your name, phone number, location, payment details (purchases happen on our separate shop), or anything else.
What we do with it
- Sign you in and keep your account secure.
- Save and sync your progress through the course.
- Very occasionally email you about your account (e.g. verification links you requested).
What we will never do
- We never sell your data. Not to advertisers, not to "partners", not to anyone.
- We never share your email with third parties for marketing.
- We never spam you.
Where your data lives
Your account and progress are stored with Supabase, a professional database platform. Your password is encrypted (hashed) before it's stored — we can't see it, and neither can anyone else. All traffic between your browser and our servers is encrypted with HTTPS.
Access to your data is locked down so that only you, signed into your own account, can read or change your own progress. This is enforced at the database level, not just in the app.
Cookies & tracking
We use only the essential session token needed to keep you signed in. No advertising trackers, no analytics cookies following you around the internet, no third-party pixels.
Your rights
You can, at any time:
- Ask what we hold about you — we'll send you a copy (it'll be short: your email and a list of completed units).
- Correct your details — change your email or password from your account.
- Delete everything — email us and we'll permanently erase your account and all progress, usually within 7 days.
If you're in the EU, UK, or another region with data-protection laws (GDPR and friends), these rights are yours by law — but we extend them to everyone, everywhere, because it's the decent thing to do.
Kids
The course is designed for learners of all ages, but accounts should be created by people aged 16 or over. If you're younger, ask a parent or guardian to set up the account.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and note the date at the top. We won't quietly slip in anything dodgy — that's a promise.
